Elise Beckwith Counsellor
LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF
Hello, I'm Elise!
Hi, my name is Elise, welcome to my safe online space. I am a fully qualified counsellor & a registered member of the BACP. I offer my clients the Person-Centred approach, which is a popular approach to therapy in the UK today.
This is developed by Carl Rogers & is known as “Client Centred.”
This is because as PCC counsellors, we believe that by being offered the right conditions, a human being can change and grow in confidence positively. Person Centred therapy believes that every individual is an expert on themselves.
Therefore this therapy offers a non-directive & non-instructive approach. No advice is given, & the client finds their answers and solutions from within, with the help and skills of the counsellor.
This builds a safe, confidential & therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor.
I aim to have a deep understanding of every client, being accepting of them & their issues, offering them no judgement.
How can I help?
I presume that you’re here because you are contemplating starting some personal counselling.
I know that this can be quite daunting, but this is the first step. Mental health issues can have a profound impact on us, affecting our behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
We all have mental health, which affects our daily life and causes worry. It is essential to find the correct support and professional guidance, finding what works best for you.

Pet Loss
Have you recently lost a pet? I understand that your pets are like any other family member, and when you lose their love and friendship, picking yourself up again can be very difficult. If you have lost, or are facing saying goodbye to, a much-loved pet and need somebody to talk to, please book an appointment or call me on 07734459204 today.
What's Worrying You?
Practical professional support can help in managing daily worries, stresses and more serious long term issues. It is vital that you receive the correct information and support and know that you are not alone.
I offer both face-to-face and virtual appointments.
WHAT I OFFER
Personal Therapy Sessions
A counsellor has skills to encourage you to open up and talk about what’s bothering you. To ease you in uncovering the causes of your worries and to find ways of coping. The counsellor, therefore, is not there to tell you what to do.
Individuals
Safe one-on-one sessions to explore who you are and how you can create new possibilities
Families
Joint sessions for for loved ones who want to reduce conflict and improve communication
Depression
I work with individuals who suffer from depression of most types and levels of severity.
Anxiety
I also specialise in treating anxiety that often stems from difficult life transitions.
Pricing and Therapies
My fees are as follows:
Fees to be paid at each session, cash or balance transfer.
£50 Individuals or £45 students/ counselling students
Missed appointments will be charged at full-price unless at least 24hrs notice is given.
* Please note, I operate a strict 24 hours cancellation policy.
Face-to-face
This is the most popular therapy as it offers the opportunity to react to any emotions that arise there and then. It usually takes place at the counsellor’s practice. This form of therapy helps to build a trusting relationship.
Skype or Telephone Counselling
This is an alternative to face to face therapy. Enabling clients who are too busy or unable to attend the practice, to still receive help.
This is a beneficial form of therapy as clients can receive their counselling in the comfort of their own home making the client feel more secure. It can also be more flexible.
